Kerry contacted us a little while back about revamping some life into her servicar-style Trike. After sitting down and working out her budget and exactly what she wanted to do, we got to work. We completely stripped the bike down so that we could see exactly what we were dealing with. We decided that fully sand blasted was the only way. The first thing Jem noticed was that the Fender Rails were bent, which was making the Top Box sit off-center. Then he straightened them up and tidied up the Swing-arm for chrome. The Diff looked a little ratty. It was running reverse on the Diff but she wanted a Champion Reverse which fits to the gearbox, a great set up.Jem cleaned that up and it really came up well. She wanted a little more get up & go. So we got hold of an S&S 96" motor along with a new 5 speed gear box (we were thinking a six speed but you can't get a Reverse to fit). She was running a set of Vance & Hines Big Radius pipes which give a great burble but was very close to the swing-arm. We were sending stuff for chrome, so why not modify the pipes? So we cut & welded some turn outs for her. After checking everything we sent all the paint work down to the local boys at Harris & Adams with the colour chart of the Ford Viper Purple - it's very deep. Assembly started and we wern't expecting too many problems. We were able to get hold of a complete FL front end because the old one was a bit of a bitza and with what she wanted it would have let the whole bike down. We got hold of a Zodiac 5 star polished front Disc to match the Genuine 5 star Rim with all the Chrome hardware to match. To give her some real stopping power we fitted a PM 6 Piston Chrome Caliper - that should stop ya! All the wraps start coming off - you can't beat a fully Polished Engine! We also fitted a new recovered Seat by Dave at BAD ARSE who covers all our seat's - Fantastic seat Dave! |
